THE suspended Deputy National Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has sued the ruling party and its national leadership before an Abuja High Court.
He is challenging his suspension by the leadership of party in Southsouth zone.
The Nation gathered that the party was served the court summon yesterday and is expected to appear before Court 23, sitting at Apo District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Although details of the court summon could not be ascertained, sources at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, who confirmed the receipt of the court papers by the party’s Legal Department, said its leadership has assembled a legal team to represent it at the court.
However, in accordance with the party’s constitution, the embattled deputy spokesman face the risk of a possible expulsion for violating a section of the party’s constitution, which bars members from taking the party to court without exhausting internal mechanisms to resolve their grievances.
