Katsina United gaffer, Bala Nikyu is happy with the progress of his team in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The team has been excellent at home but are yet to pick up a point on the road, however, Nikyu is confident that his team will improve as the season progresses.
“Well, we thank God that so far so good we have been able to pick four points from four matches and I believe that we would have gotten more than that for some reasons I won’t want to talk about. But so far I am satisfied with our performances and I’m confident that we shall continue to improve as the season progresses,” Nikyu told Goal.
“Based on the fact that Katsina United is a new team in the top flight league, a couple of teams see us like underdog. We have young and talented boys who want to play football and that’s an advantage we have leveraged on so far.
“We have a good home record based on the number if matches we have played but we have been very close on the road which we know we shall get over soon as the season progresses.”
