Four female suicide bombers and two other persons were killed in Wednesday’s multiple explosions at Usmanti along Muna Garage road in Maiduguri, Borno State.
A statement issued by the Information Officer, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Northeast zone, Abdulkareem Ibrahim, said the attacks occurred at 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
The statement read: “Four female teenage suicide bombers and two other men died when the four female bombers detonated explosives at Usmanti along Mina Garage road at 1:15 a.m.
“16 people who got injured were administered with first aid by rescue workers before being transported to the State Specialist Hospital and University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in Maiduguri Borno State.”
