Enyimba’ Isiaka Oladuntoye has insisted that the People’s Elephants can still win the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title this season.
They host Remo Stars at the UJ Esuene Stadium in a midweek week 19 NPFL tie, but are eight points behind the league leaders.
“We always believe in our ability. We have faith that we can go on and win the league title. The team has been in this position before and gone on to win titles so there is no reason why we cannot do it again,” Oladuntoye told Goal.
“If we can win more games at home and away, that will make us get within touching distance, or maybe even at the top, we will be in a great position. We are starting to adjust to the training and the ideas from the manager. We are playing a bit better and have been getting good results.
“Overall, we are in a good place. I am sure if we can win on Wednesday it will make us even stronger and give us that belief that we can defeat any opposition.”
