A businessman, Kingsley Oshiegbu, was yesterday arraigned before an Ikeja High Court for allegedly killing Ifeoma Ndidi.
He was said to have punched her to death on April 1, 2015 at 7, Majaro Street, Agege, Lagos.
Oshiegbu was arraigned on a one count charge of involuntary manslaughter contrary to and punishable under Section 222 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
He pleaded not guilty.
According to the charge, Oshiegbu killed Ndidi by giving her a blow on the head.
Defence counsel, Mr Shaw Jason, asked that Oshiegbu be granted bail because he has been in custody for two years.
Justice Hakeem Oshodi will rule on the bail application on June 26.
