The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhamad Sanusi II, yesterday in Kano called on his subjects, residing outside the North to at all times respect the culture, tradition and norms of their host community for peaceful co-existence.
Emir Sanusi, who spoke in his palace, while receiving the newly installed Garkuwan Hausawa in Ogun, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, urged northerners living in other parts of the country to remain good ambassadors of the region and ensure that they live in peace and harmony, with their host community.

We have enjoyed an age-long relationship; and I feel happy for the role you are playing as the Garkuwan Hausawa to ensure cordial relationship between my people and the Yoruba. Extend my greetings to the Awujale and tell him that I look forward to visiting him soon.”
The Garkuwan Hausawa, who is a gubernatorial aspirant in Ogun State, said he came to the palace to pay homage to Emir Sanusi and receive his blessings as the newly installed Garkuwan Hausawa.
