The 40th anniversary of the Neo Black Movement of Africa, a non-governmental organisation, which started in Calabar, the Cross River State capital ends today.
The event also coincides with the 39th convention of the association.
According to its Media Officer, Mr. Klinton Aduba, the convention with the theme, ‘Repositioning and Restoring NBM ideals for a better future’ drew participants from far and near.
The organisation handed over a new building, made up of an interrogation area with two cells to support the State Anti-Robbery Squad of the Cross River State Police Command.
Other activities, he noted, included a free medical outreach, courtesy calls on notable personalities, including the state governor and top traditional rulers and novelty football match.
