Liverpool secure Champions League qualification

Liverpool have secured a top-four Premier League finish after defeating Middlesbrough 3-0.
All the Reds needed was to beat the visitors at Anfield on Sunday but were however nervous throughout much of the first half as Arsenal raced into a 2-0 lead over Everton at the Emirates.

However, Gini Wijnaldum’s first-half injury time strike calmed nerves before Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana scored inside 11 minutes after the break to secure victory.

It means Liverpool have qualified for the Champions League play-off round, which will take place in August.
