The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold the primary elections to pick their candidates for next month’s by election into Osun West senatorial district.
The elections were shifted from yesterday.
The seat became vacant following the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
The late Senator Adeleke’s brother, Ademola, and another former senator, Mudashiru Hussain will slug it out for the APC ticket. The primary will hold at De Distinguished Event Centre along Osogbo/Iwo Road.
Osun State Director of Publicity of PDP Prince Bola Ajao, said the postponement of the primary holding at Iwo was informed by the need to put party’s house in order.
The contest is between former Minister of the Youth Development Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi and a Col. Olayiwola Falabi.
