The burial plan for a community leader, Mr Augustine Diji, has been released by the family.
One of his sons, Dr. Chuks Diji, in a statement explained the funeral rites will commence on July 27 with a vigil mass and social service of songs at the deceased’s compound in Onicha Ugbo, Delta State.
Other highpoints of the burial are requiem mass and interment, visits by in-laws and traditional dances.
It will end on Sunday, July 30 with a thanksgiving mass.
Born on May 5, 1934, Pa Diji died on January 5, 2017 at the age of 83.
The late patriarch of the Diji family, according to his son, was a highly focused father who did all he could to lay firm foundation for the success o his family.
Dr. Diji, who lectures at the University of Ibadan, said his father would be remembered for his forthrightness as a community leader.
