The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh (retd), has assured delegates undergoing trainings in various centres across the country of their prompt empowerment packages at the end the programmes.
Boroh, who was represented by the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit in the Amnesty Office, Mr. Bestman Probel, reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s determination to ensure stability in the Niger Delta region through his administration’s socio-economic development agenda.
The presidential aide spoke at Songhai Farm at Amukpe in Delta State, where 100 amnesty delegates are undergoing training in fishery and poultry.
He said agriculture would guaranty food security in Nigeria.
Also, the Deputy General Manager of Songhai Delta, Mr. Ifowodo Rasmus, who also doubles as the Training Manager, hailed the Amnesty Coordinator for focusing attention on agriculture to empower the beneficiaries.
