Family Booster Ministries Int’l, organisers of the monthly Breakthrough for Singles and Married, ill next Sunday host hundreds of parents at a seminar in Lagos.
The seminar with the theme total parenting holds at The Real Place, 3, Afisman Drive, Anifowoshe, off Ikeja Local Government area, Ikeja.
The chief host, Pastor Bisi, said the seminar is a must-attend for progressive parents.
According to him: “Parents must act as a positive role model, and play an active part in a child’s life.
“Good parents need to provide moral and spiritual guidance, set limits and explain consequences for a child’s behavior.
Adewale, who will be joined by his wife, Pastor Yomi, and other ministers, noted the experience and privilege of being parents can either be total or partial.
He explained total parenting implies absolute, holistic, complete and wholesome exercise of being parents.
“It suggests lawful fatherhood and motherhood of a child or person. Parenting can also go beyond just biological conception
or birth of a child or person.
“A parent is such that shares mutual love, care, affection with a child more so by way of supplying needed support materially, spiritually, socially and mentally.
“Total parenting involves discipline, direction, guidance, correction, counseling, pruning, maintenance, and instruction that can promise and guarantee a positive future,” Adewale stressed.
The programme, according to him, is free for as many people that would attend, stressing that aside various teachings, “it will be another opportunity to pray for the destinies of our children.”
