ECOWAS unity, a priority, says Nigeria’s new ambassador to Togo

The new Nigerian Ambassador to Togo, His Excellency, Joseph Olusola Iji has outlined peace and unity in the sub-region as well as preaching revenue diversification as his priorities as he assumes office in Lome.

 He stated this in a chat with newsmen after letters of credence were presented to newly appointed ambassadors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday. The credential ceremony followed the posting of all the nation’s ambassadors earlier in the year by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in his capacity as the acting president.

 The ambassadors include Eniola  Olaitan  Ajayi,  James  Gotuwan  Dimka, Nurudeen Mohammed, Orji Ngoa,  Amin  Mohammed Dalhatu and Susan Folarin. Others were Musa Ilu Mohammed, Baba Madugu and Joseph Olusola Iji.

 According to him: ‘The country has a lot of potential economically and politically. I want to carry with me the message of oneness, message of peace; the doggedness of this government, especially towards creating employment for our teeming youths; and most especially diversification of our economy and President Buhari’s love for everybody.’
