AMVCA winner, Rotimi Salami shoots advocacy movie

Monski Media Concept in conjunction with Campfire Films is set to hit the cinemas with its debut feature production, ‘Omoye’.

Speaking on the new movie, 2017Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) winner, Rotimi Salami, who is also the CEO of Monski Media Concept says he is ready to give Nigerians an awesome experience in cinemas with the new movie.

Written and directed by Uche Chukwu, the movie stars award-winning actors such as kiki Omeili, Rotimi Salami, Tina Mba, Stan Nze, Greg Ojefua, Olarotimi Fakunle, Omobola Akinde, Goodness Usman, Maryan Dike, kelvinmary Ndukwe, Onyendika Ibeji, and Evans Odiagbe.

“We intend to do what is rarely done with movies of such strong social message, which is teaming up with governmental bodies and corporate organizations to execute a free community screening all over Nigeria to ensure a mass reach out of this life changing awareness campaign,” says Salami, who is of the opinion that films are meant to affect the society positively.

Continuing, he said, no awareness will be too much for domestic and sexual violence, hence “I and my team embarked on the ‘Omoye’ film project.

Shot in Ajegunle suburb in Lagos, the movie which will be released in cinema on October 27, is endorsed by Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) and supported by Nature’s Gentle Touch.

Ahead of the release, an awareness walk will be held on Friday, October 20, while a star-studded premiere has been planned for October 22.
