Indications emerged last night that the Monkey Pox disease had broken out in Kano.
A suspected case was lying critically ill at Tiga General Hospital a in Bebeji Local Government Area.
Commissioner for Health Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Getso could not be reached at the time of filling the story. But at a
News Conference on Monday, Getso urged Kano residents to apply personal hygiene so as to prevent monkey pox.
He said the state government had made available a hospital and adequate facilities to take care of patients infected by the disease
