Kebbi Deputy Governor tasks Journalists on professional ethics

*NUJ President arrived Kebbi for Press week
The Kebbi Deputy Governor, Rtd Col.Samaila Yombe, has urged journalists working in the state to always report according to the ethics of their professionalism.
Yombe made this call at the opening ceremony of the 2017 Press Week and Award Night organised by the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kebbi state.
He said Journalists should continue to earn and maintain that high degree of public trust.
“it is morally imperative for every journalist and every news media houses to observe the highest professional and ethical standards. Journalists should also endeavour to discharge their duties with a healthy regards for the public interest”.
He however describe the good working relationship between Journalists and kebbi state government as cordial urging them to maintain it.
In his remark the state Chairman of the NUJ,  Aliyu Jajirma, commended the state government for its continuous support to the union in the state.he then assured that the union will continue to maintain the good working relationship with the government.
Meanwhile the NUJ President Comrade Waheed Odusile and his entourage have arrived Kebbi state for  the  Press Week scheduled to hold for the next four days with line up activities as follow:  Inspection of key Government projects, visitation to Kanta Museum in Argungu, Novelty  Football March between NUJ & RATTAWU and Merit Award Night,
