The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Niger State has elected executive members.
Abdul Idris, of Radio Niger, won the chairmanship with 102 votes.
He defeated the incumbent, Mohammed Mohammed of Newsline Chapel, who had 91 votes.
Incumbent Vice Chairman Suleiman Aliyu, of Radio Niger, retained the seat with 100 votes.
He defeated Tanko Adamu of Federal Information Resource Centre, who got 88 votes.
Other executives, returned unopposed, include Abu Modu (Secretary – Correspondent Chapel); Dauda Mohammed (Assistant Secretary); Danladi Hassan Idris (Financial Secretary); Ruth Kwange (Treasurer) and Uriah Hana (Auditor).
