Finance Mobile and Entertainment Summit holds

It was a gathering of technology, finance and entertainment enthusiasts as the 2018 edition of the Finance Mobile and Entertainment Summit (FMES) held recently.

The event, which took place at the Golden Gate Hotel was themed ‘Leveraging Mobile Entertainment Financing for National Development’, with a special focus on how to advance Nigeria’s economy, using entertainment and the potential of digital tools powered by widespread availability of broadband internet.

Representatives from Lagos Inland Revenue Services, Nollywood, Central Bank, Fidelity Bank and other stake holders were present at the event to talk expressly on different topics and views as regards the forum. Also a couple of awards were presented to the guests at the venue.

Don Pedro Aganbi, Managing Consultant, TechTV, organizers of the event, noted that with the widespread adoption and use of smart mobile devices, mobile is quickly emerging as one of the most engaging, dynamic and profitable segment of the entertainment industry.

“The theme was chosen specifically to provide practical insight into critical issues in the mobile entertainment space, including technology developments, financing options, creative and production strategies, content aggregation, talent and licensing issues. It would equally focus on the future of entertainment and the creation, distribution, monetization and consumption of content across different mobile platforms,” Aganbi said.

FMES 2018 brought together top panel of experts to focus on Leveraging Mobile Entertainment Financing for National Development. The climax of the summit was the issuance of a communiqué on the future of mobile entertainment in Nigeria.
