It was a happy reunion as one of the coordinators of the Alumni association of Ekiti State University (EKSU) in the United States Mr Adeolu Tinubu visited the Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof Samuel Oye Bandele to brief him about the growth and development recorded by graduates of the institution.
He told the VC that the U.S. chapter of the association was waxing stronger in membership.
Tinubu also expressed satisfaction with the infrastructural development, academic quality and international affiliation of the university.
He visited the postgraduate village being constructed by the national EKSU alumni association, which consists of postgraduate hostels, residential buildings for the staff, market and other amenities.
He promised that the U.S. chapter would support the project.
EKSU National Alumni President, Mr Dotun Adetuberu, who led the delegation to the VC’s office described the U.S. chapter as a group of loyal and progressive graduates committed to their alma mater.
Adetuberu assured the VC of the alumni’s unalloyed support in the turnaround of the university in all areas, including Information Communication Technology (ICT), Internal Generated Revenue (IGR), discipline, infrastructural development and stable calendar.
Bandele praised Tinubu for the visit.
He expressed joy over the giant strides of the alumni abroad, including the United Kingdom and Ireland, Canada, and France, urging them to continue to be their brothers’ keeper.
The VC told his visitors that his administration within three years had strengthened weak areas in the system, staff training and prompt issuance of certificates.
