Security expert, Dr. Ona Ekhomu wants the Federal Government to vigorously address the alleged infiltration of ISIS operatives into Nigeria to avert catastrophic terror attacks on Nigerian soil.
Taking proactive measures, Ekhomu said yesterday, “ will save many Nigerian lives.”
“ The federal government must not through omission or denial allow ISIS to set up shop in Nigeria” the President of the Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON) said in a statement.
He added: “the ISIS threat as a specific, credible threat which has been manifesting in Nigeria for many years now. This threat is looming larger now as the terrorist organization loses its real estate in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya.
Nigeria must not be the next battleground of ISIS in the world.”
Ekhomu praised Nigeria’s aviation authorities for increasing security at the airport. He advised that attention should be focused on passengers inbound into Nigeria as this is an external threat.
