T.W.O marks 20th wedding anniversary

Musicical duo, Tunde and Wunmi Obe, aka T.W.O, celebrated 20 years as husband and wife yesterday. Sharing different images of their marital journey on Facebook, Wunmi wrote: “20 years and still counting,” while on Twitter, Tunde appreciated his wife, acknowledging that her brother and former Chairman of Punch newspaper, Wale Aboderin, died recently. “But even though things are a little gloomy around here, we will still find a way to celebrate,” he tweeted yesterday.

Continuing, he said; “Because our marriage is worth celebrating. But most importantly my darling wifey (@WunmiObe ), YOU are worth celebrating. I thank God almighty for each of the 30yrs I’ve known u!

“All our dreams came true, sweetheart. Couldn’t have had a better person by my side through this life’s journey. You get me. I Love You till infinity & beyond! @WunmiObe.”

The couple and popularly showbiz personalities met in the 90s and began their music career as undergraduates before going on to host the popular 90s TV programme ‘The Charly Boy Show’.

As musicians, they released their debut album titled ‘Sealed’ in 1998 and have put out six albums together, including the 2014 album titled ‘T.W.O PLUS’.

Tunde is son of Nigerian diplomat, Ambassador Emmanuel Obe, while Wumni is daughter of the late founder of Punch newspaper, James Aboderin.
