Third set of ‘GO Russia’ promo winners off to Russia

The third group of winners in the Glo GO RUSSIA promo have departed for the east European country.

The five lucky subscribers were unveiled last Saturday at Globacom Headquarters, Mike Adenuga Towers, Lagos, where they were formally sent off by officials of the total telecommunications solutions company before departing via Emirates Airlines.

The winners are Aseruoma Glory Aworiwo from Delta State; Ajayi Odunayo Felix from Oyo State; Ojokojo Ernest Paul from Delta State; Izuchukwu Kizito Alih from Enugu State and Oladele Oluseyi Adetokunbo from Osun State.

The company, in a statement, said of the 22 winners who will eventually benefit from the promo, 17 have travelled on an all-expense-paid trip to Russia.

The statement reads: “12 subscribers have gone and returned from Russia after visits to different monuments, tourist attractions and historical sites where they were treated to delightful experiences. Five new winners are departing today.”

The national operator which congratulated the winners, urged them to represent the country and Globacom well. It also thanked them for being loyal to the network over the years.

Some of the winners who spoke at the reception described their joy at having their dream fulfilled by Globacom. 27-year-old Izuchuwu Kizito Alih, a music producer and graduate of Theatre Arts said: “I thank Glo for this opportunity. Glo is the only network in my village. Everybody in my family uses Glo. I have always known that Glo is the best. I am very grateful for this opportunity”.

Aseruoma Glory Aworiwo, 26-year-old graduate of Business from Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, said: “I had initially wondered if Dr. Adenuga would not do anything for Glo customers at this season like he usually does.  So when I saw the promo, I sent Go to 240 and I won. I want to thank God for this opportunity. I urge all Glo subscribers not to give up on Glo because they will benefit like me one day. I lost my younger brother recently, this trip is a form of relief for me”.

Also, a visibly elated Oluseyi Adetokunbo, an Analyst in a Microfinance Bank, said, “I was excited when I received the call, but my colleagues said it was a scam. Now I can confirm to them that it is real”.

Similarly, Ajayi Odunayo Felix, a fish farmer, thanked Globacom for the wonderful opportunity to travel outside the country. “I am so excited as this will be the first time I have traveled outside West Africa”.

The send-off ceremony also provided a platform to welcome the first and second batches of winners who recently returned from Russia.

One of the Batch 1 winners, Joseph Oladunjoye, said: “Globacom treated us like kings. It was a wow experience; the food was wow, the hotel accommodation was wow, the treatment was wow. Thanks Glo”, he enthused.
