The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has declared that the Party is not part of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) being formed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and 34 political parties.
Briefing newsmen at the ADP Secretariat in Minna, the Niger state Chairman, Alhaji Tanimu Sarki Kwamba said that ADP us not ready to compromise its core values in its bid to acquire power.
“As the third force that will provide The Credible Alternative to Nigeria, let me say here categorically that we are not part of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP). “
According to him, the PDP led coalition is another way of putting old wines in new bottles urging Nigerians to resist another secret by desperate and corrupt politicians to to capture power as those who are clamoring for Coalition have nothing new to offer.
“It is obvious that the PDP and APC are two sides of the same coin. PDP’s 16 years in Niger state was characterized by impunity and zero regard to the universally accepted norms of democracy. ADP is not in a hurry to parley with those who mismanage the state for 16 years and now regrouping in a new look to loot the state and nation treasury.
“At ADP, we believe the time has come for a generational shift in leadership and not putting old wines in new bottles, which is what the PDP led Coalition represents. Nigeria must wake up and resist another secret by the same desperate and corrupt politicians who via a similar ragtag coalition captured power in 2015.”
The Chairman however stated that the Party would not decline ant political coalition that can bring a desired change if the patriots are free of corruption charges calling on like minds and credible groups to join hands with ADP to rebuild the state.
