Buhari greets Sidi Ali at 81

PRESIDENT  Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Sidi Ali, a member of the Elders’ Committee of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, at 81.

Buhari, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and publicity, Garba Shehu, joined family, friends and colleagues in celebrating the resourceful public servant, who most remarkably ensured accurate and balanced information on government activities during and after the Civil War.

The statement reads: “The President lauds Ali’s patriotism and nationalistic world view, which was evident in his promotion of unity and projection of values of harmonious and peaceful co-existence.

“As the octogenarian marks his 81st birthday, President Buhari believes the years he served in the Nigeria International Press Centre, Ministry of Information and National Broadcasting Commission were historic, coupled with his membership of the board of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

“The President prays God will grant the celebrant longer life, good health and strength to keep serving the country and humanity.”
