PA Isaac Kolawole Ademakinwa, an engineer, is dead. He was 87.
He was born in Ode-Ondo to Chief Emmanuel Ademakinwa and Mrs. Mosekunola Ademakinwa (Nee Akinsete) on July 20, 1931.
He died July 20.
The deceased completed his secondary education in Ondo Boys High School and got a degree in Electronics/Telecoms Engineering from the North London Polytechnic UK (now North London University UK).
Upon his return to Nigeria, he worked at the defunct Postal and Telecommunications (P&T) for a year before moving to Siemens (Nig) Ltd, where he rose to the post of Chief Engineer in the Signals department, a position he held till his retirement in 1984.
He went into partnership as a major contractor to First Bank and Union Bank, majoring in installation of central air conditioning and electrical appliances.
Pa Ademakinwa resigned from active employment in 1991 at 60.
Baba was a devout Christian and humanitarian; and he will be remembered for his love, simplicity, humility and gentleness.
The deceased is survived by four children and 14 grand-children.
He will be buried on August 24 in Lagos.
