Rehabilitation of the 122 kilometres Mayo Belwa-Jada-Ganye-Toungo road in Adamawa State, which will cost the Federal Government N22.7 billion, has begun.
The road was built in 1999.
Minister of Power, Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola spoke in a statement by the Director of Information in the ministry, Mr. Theodore Ogaziechi.
Fashola, who was represented by the Minister of State I Mustapha Shehuri at the flag off of rehabilitation, said the work, to completed in 36 months, would include the reconstruction of the 112 kilometre road with 7.3 metre carriageway width and 2.75 metre shoulders.
Governor Bindow Jubrilla praised the Federal Government for the project, saying it would increase investment in rice production and livestock farming.
