The yearly convention of the School Leaders Association will hold this Saturday at The Lagoon Restaurant, Victoria Island.
The convention, which has as theme, ”The Future of Education,” will bring together players in the education system to deliberate on the decay in education and chart a new path for its development.
Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education Mr Obafela Bank-Olemoh will speak on the government’s plan to prepare students for today’s digitalised world, while Mrs Adesuwa Ifedi, Vice President, Policy and Partnerships at the Bridge Foundation, will speak on the challenges of education around the world and models being explored to improve education systems.
Other speakers are: Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, Chief Executive Officer, Leading Learning Limited; Ms Abiola Lamikanra, the Head of School, City of Knowledge Academy; Head of Senior School, Children’s International School, Ms Martha Da Costa-Sherwood; Director of Carisma4u Educational Foundation, Ms Adetola Salau; Head of Shared Services, Poise Nigeria Limited Mr Charles Nzeribe, and the Director General, Quality Control Lagos State Mrs Ronke Soyombo.
According to the convener of the School Leaders Association and Director, Fantasia Education Partners and Fantasia City School, Uwaye Soetan, the event would also feature the launch of Koulu resources application which is a platform to connect teachers with other teachers on lesson improvements as well as connect schools with organisations interested in education development in Nigeria.
