In its quest to address the scarcity of housing for the mass population of the country, a real estate company, Aimart realtors has set machinery in motion to provide affordable housing.
The firm with expertise in the acquisition of landed properties, documentation said although they have been in the business for more than 10 years, they have been letting their work speak for them.
Speaking in an interview with The Nation, Managing Director of the company, Iluyomade Bukola said what they have done is to build a history so that when they come out people can go and track their history, “we didn’t just want to come out and start making noise.”
Explaining and educating journalists about lands, she said “When you tell people to come and buy land they tell you it is far, far is a relative word; if you say something is far, it depends on where you are coming from. I tell you, in the next two years, as soon as Dangote refinery kicks off by the end of this year, we are talking about more than 40, 000 people moving to Ibeju Lekki and these 40, 000 people will need people who will give them support, give them food and attend to their needs.
“This is what we mean when we say get a land in the part of development; right now, that place is called new Lagos, every infrastructure in Lagos is moving there; very soon anybody living there will not have any business in the mainland because everything on the mainland will be there.”
Talking about land acquisition, she said people need to understand the intricacies of the industry. “In real estate, C of O is not the only thing required. This is why a lot of people have been defrauded. One thing you must first get is the root title because with your C of O you can be locked out without a root title. We also make sure that we do all investigations to find out that the lands are safe even from government. We give our client physical allocation within six months of purchase of the land.”
Continuing, she said: “Many people have heard a lot of experience with landed properties but our own land has assurance. We have built in a lot of value in this business and depending on the different estates; our prices are very competitive and affordable.
“The level of investment that we have put in our estate and the level of development in our estate are very competitive. The issue is that when people come to advertise, you don’t know the level they have gone in their estate; we take you there to see for yourself and we even allocate lands to people as soon as they pay.”
In a related development, the firm also unveiled popular Bollywood actors as its ambassadors including Tade Ogidan, Francis Onwochei and Lanre Balogun to help drive its mass housing campaigns.
