THE Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Adewale Omoniyi, has picked a retired teacher, Alhaja Risikat Adenokun, as his running mate for the 2019 elections. Omoniyi, a data scientist and former Special Adviser in the state, also declared that the ANRP was poised to defeat the APC and other major parties in the forthcoming poll due to the party’s robust agenda for the electorate. He spoke in Ijebu-Ife, Ijebu East Local Government Area of the state, while unveiling of his female running mate.
Apart from being a former teacher, Adenokun is also a successful farmer and immediate chairman of the Consultative Advisory Committee (CAC) in Ijebu East Local Government. According to Omoniyi, the choice of the deputy governorship candidate would come handy in the implementation of ANRP’s programmes in education, particularly, teachers welfare and agriculture.
He added that the female politician possesses the requisite capacity and political connection to ensure resounding victory for the party in the state in 2019. While expressing confidence that his party will win the governorship, Omoniyi urged the electorate not to trade their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) for any amount of money in order to secure their future.
