Ex-Benue Speaker, scores from Ortom’s LG join APC

Ex – Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Dr. Stephen Tsav , along side hundreds of his supporters have joined the All Progressives Congress in Benue State.

Dr. Tsav tendered his letter of resignation from the Peoples  Democratic Party ( PDP) on Wednesday .

Leader of the APC in north central states and senator representing Benue North West Senatorial District George Akume  led other top notchers of the party including APC governorship candidate  Emmanuel Jime, to receive the  ex- speaker Tsav at a ceremony in Daudu town, Guma Local Government Area in Benue State .

Speaking on behalf of the defectors , Tsav stated that he was leaving PDP which is a ruling party to join APC because of the quality leadership provided by senator Akume in the state. Tsav commended President Muhammadu Buhari for tackling herdsmen menace in Benue and other security challenges in the country .

He said he will join hands with APC governorship candidate in Benue to take over governance in 2019

Senator George Akume on his part commended Tsav and other defectors  for taking a bold step to join APC.

Akume advised APC supporters to go back home and mobilised for the 2019 governorship election which he said its around the corner.

Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of broom, a symbol of APC  to Tsav.
