Passengers traversing through the various roads linking Ketu to Alapere will in no distant time have an end of groaning sounds following the renewed commitment of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area under the leadership of Mayor Dele Oshinowo to rehabilitating the failed portions of the roads during this dry season.
The roads to be rehabilitated are streets connecting to Kazeem passing through Oriola to Doyin Omololu and Elebiju junctions respectively.
Also, the rehabilitation exercise will wear a new look on the failed portions connecting Ketu to Alapere bus stop.
Narrating on the rehabilitation exercise, the Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Alaba Saliu stated that council boss is determined to ensure the roads are motorable in a couple of weeks.
He thanked commuters for their untiring and limitless patience, adding that the local council will intensify adequate monitoring to ensure the projects are well-delivered by the contractor in charge.
“In the past few months, we have been inundated with several calls on the state of some major roads in the local council, as a caring administration, and having demonstrated it developmentally, our passionate love for the motoring community knows no bound”
“Hence,it is pivotal to inform our people that the failure of the local council to act swiftly, despite the status of the roads as Trunk ‘B’ was as a result of the unfavourable weather conditions”
Being elated by the rehabilitation, a passer-by, Mr Tosin Bamidele showered encomium on the council mayor for keeping to his word in rehabilitating the roads this dry season.
He further urged him to maintain this developmental approach and genuineness throughout the lifespan of his administration.
