Adamolekun made this known at the 6th Ceremony and end of session programme of the school held recently in Ogun State.
The event which had over 20 students graduating from Primary and secondary school category. Its also feature the exhibition of a discovery of some students who transformed plastic bottles into interlocking building blocks and using wastes generated from chicken as manure for leguminous plants.
She said that developments in parts of the world were driven by governments investment in home grown science and technology discoveries.
She noted that African have fallen behind despite their closeness to nature because we have failed to invest considerably to science and technology discoveries which are the hall mark of development in today’s world.
“Nigeria needs to make technology and innovation a priority from the stand point of a world-view that Africa, can invent and innovate to develop her hidden potential and opportunities”.
‘We want to create learning environment in which the genius in every child is identified and nurtured into a reliable treasure for global peace and prosperity”, she said.
