The Old Boys Association of Anglican Grammar School (AGs), Mbawsi, Abia State, has promised to return their alma mater to its glorious days.
The President of the association, Agbai Abbah, made the pledged at the weekend in Lagos during the association’s second yearly end-of-the-year bash.
Abbah, who hosted the members, said the association would not leave any stone unturned in turning the school around for better days ahead.
The lawyer said the members realised that the “challenge is a herculean task, which will require everything at our disposal to actualise the dream. To us, this is a task that must be done”.
He noted that the school’s physical depreciation started when the state government took it over from the Anglican Church and returned it many years later.
“It was this interlude that caused the physical depreciation, which undoubtedly was occasioned, at the time, by the wearing out of the structure,” Abbah said.
