Sweden-based Nigerian act, Lankusa, makes waves

Nigeria-born Afro pop ‘ibile’ recording artiste, Olayinka Olanrewaju, popularly known as Lankusa, is making waves in Sweden.

Currently working on a collaboration with Small Doctor, Lankusa was nominated and won three Awards at Glios Music Award 2018 (Sweden). The awards include Best Song of the year (Dangbana), Best Nigerian Song of the year (Do Good by Lankusa feat. King Jide Harmony) and Best Collaboration song of the year (Agbalumo by Lankusa feat. sLim Prince).

Lankusa, who sings mainly in Yoruba, his mother tongue, recently did a collaboration with another Sweden-based artiste, Slim Prince.

Lankusa’s musical career started while he was in secondary school in Lagos. He later joined a choir in Living Gospel of Christ Church (LCGG) and continued his music career at Christ Apostolic Light Church (CALC).

Some years ago, he moved to Sweden where he continued with his love for music by mimicking the styles of Olamide Badoo, CDQ, Reminisce, Small Doctors and other stars in the industry. Lankusa is currently the C.E.O of LKS ENTERTAINMENT record label, which is registered in Sweden.
