Rue14 Studios takes guests “High” at MUSON Centre

Following the two-time sold-out runs of the Nigerian adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s famous play “For Colored Girls”, Keke Hammond (CEO/Founder of Rue14 Studios) returns this holiday season with an original, contemporary stage play, “High”.
The play, which runs from December 27 to 29 at the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre with performances at 2pm and 6pm daily, tackles the issues surrounding substance abuse amongst teenagers in a social media obsessed world.
‘High’ tells the story of a group of teenage friends on holiday from their separate boarding schools. Even though they grew up together, they are at completely different places in their lives. When one of them suffers a drug overdose, it causes a major problem within the clique, forcing their parents to get involved and face the truth about their children and about themselves.
Written by Osang Abang and directed by Kenneth Uphopho, ‘High’ features a cast which includes Najite Dede, Akah Nnani, Lami Phillips, Bolanle Stephen-Atitebi, Abayomi Alvin, Paul Adams, Chris Iheuwa, Bunmi Sogade, Philips Chima, Genoveva Umeh and more. Making her debut as a producer on this production is actor Ade Laoye who is no stranger to the theatre.
According to the organisers, This show is not suitable for children under 10 years old, while stating that tickets are going for N7500 ( for general admission) and N15,000 (for VIP) on www.flytimetv.com.
“‘High’ is supported by Bella Naija, STV, Rhythm 93.7, City 105.1FM, Flytime, Union Bank, Savvie, House of Tara, FIRS and The KG Concierge.
