Army will continue to accord priority sporting activities – GOC

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Nigerian Army, General Mohammed Mohammed, says the Army  would continue to accord priority to sporting activities, so as to maintain physical fitness and mental alertness of its personnel and their families.
 Mohammed made the remarks at the flagging off of a 3km walk/Jogging exercise for Army personnel on Saturday in Kaduna.
The GOC explained that the exercise is aimed at ensuring that officers and their families maintain their health and more alert to their responsibilities.
He maintained that the exercise would be extended to other barracks under the Division.
The GOC urged the personnel and their families to also continuously observe the exercise at their individual time, stressing that prizes would be awarded to deserving participants. (NAN)
