11 gov candidates endorse Bindow for second term

Governorship candidates of eleven political parties in Adamawa State on Tuesday collapsed their structures and endorsed Governor Jibrilla Bindow for second term.

The candidates, who attended the campaign rally of the governor, were received to the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

They were: Abdullahi Usman of the National Conscience Party (NCP); Bappari Umaru of KOWA Party; Elizabeth Isah of Change Advocacy Party (CAP) and Lami Musa of Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN).

Others were: Badau Isaac Sa’adu of the Justice Must Prevail Party (JMPP); Bulame Naame of Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA); Frank Usman Koshihula of MEGA Party; Sa’ad Maiyaki of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and Achubi Umar Jada of Alliance for National Party (ANP).

Oshomhole declared their support and the large turnout of other supporters to Bindow’s flagoff campaign signified the governor’s popularity.

“There are only two candidates. Bindow and the others,” Oshiomhole declared.

Umar Jada, who spoke on behalf of others, said they gave up their ambition for Bindow because of his giant strides in government.

Governor Jibrilla Bindow urged Adamawa people to vote for him and other candidates of the party at all levels to enjoy more quality governance.

He urged them to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari to enable him effectively consolidate the fight against Boko Haram and herders/farmers’ clashes.

Former National Vice Chairman, North East of the PDP, Senator John Wampana, who led his supporters to join the APC also declared support for the governor and Buhari expressed.

Wampana, who was a Second Republic Speaker of the Gongola House of Assembly, said he was joining the APC because of the achievement of the governor.

He stated it was his pleasure to end his political career spanning over four decades happily in the APC.
