The Nigerian Armed Force Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) has held a ceremony to mark the end of 2018.
The event, which held at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) sports complex, Oshodi, featured sports and cultural performances by serving officers and men.
The Special Guest of Honour, Maj.-Gen. Sanni Yusuf, congratulated the winners, and urged female army officers to go for more training and up their game so they can emerge winners at the end of 2019.
He said: “The essence of West Africa Social Activities (WASA) has been achieved, which is for officers, soldiers, families, well wishers and friends to come together and socialise in a very relaxed atmosphere.

“I congratulate the winning team who took part in the tug of war match, and encourage those who didn’t win to prepare well for the end of 2019.”
Gen. Yusuf praised the fitness and professionalism of the participants, noting that it was an indication that “the coming election will be a discharge of professionalism among our men.”
There were performances by cultural groups, a tug of war match among the Navy, Army, Air Force, 9 Brigade Battalion, Civil Defence Corps and host, Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre.
