Ex-OAU VC Omole appointed EKSU pro-chancellor

The immediate past Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) at Ile-Ife in Osun State, Prof. Bamitale Omole, has been appointed the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) by Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Omole is a professor of International Relations and an educational administrator.

A well-travelled researcher and academic, Omole had his BA (History) Hons, MSc (International Relations) University of Ife and PhD (Political Science/International Relations) University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France.

Omole holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Law and Organisation for Development from The Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, the Netherland. He also holds a certificate in University Research Management and another in Executive Leadership for University Management.

A laureate of the United States of America International Visitors Leadership Programme, Washington DC, U.S.A, Professor Omole is also a recipient of scholarships, grants and fellowship awards from international organisation/institutions, such as the Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Korean Fellowship, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and U.S State Department Fellowship.
