The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kebbi State Command, has apprehended two suspects with N500 and N1000 fake currency, totalling N300,000.
The suspects, Abubakar Shagari from Sokoto State and Shehu Atiku Barama from Gwandu Local Government Area of Kebbi State were nabbed along Sani Abacha Bypass, Birnin-Kebbi, yesterday with the fake notes.
Parading them, Commandant Mr. Sammani Ringim said corps intelligence officers, acting on information from the public, apprehended the suspects in their hideout along the bypass.

He said the suspects specialised in printing and spending counterfeit Naira notes.
Ringim said the suspects would be arraigned after investigation.
Addressing officers of the command during a sensitisation workshop ahead of the general election, he urged them to be professional and responsible in their duties before, during and after the elections.
