Abducted BoA MD regains freedom

After nine days in captivity, the Managing Director of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA), Alwan Ali-Hassan, has been freed by his abductors.

Ali-Hassan was, on March 28,  abducted by the bandits who bombed Kaduna-bound  train carrying over 360 passengers.

A senior  BoA official  confirmed to The Nation that  Ali-Hassan was freed yesterday.

The official, who did not say if ransom was paid, said the family and friends of the bank chief expressed gratitude to God for his release.

“We are grateful to God for his release and we pray never to witness this.

“We also pray others get released soon,” he said.
