The abducted Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, Orhifi Orovwagbarha Agbarha-Ide Ememoh II, has been rescued.
The monarch was on his way to Asaba for a security summit when he was kidnapped by gunmen on Wednesday.
The Nation gathered that the Ovie was rescued by policemen from Delta State police command and a community vigilante group in the early hours of Thursday.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, who claimed that he personally led the rescue team, said the monarch has been taken to Asaba for treatment.
