Abdulrahman to Kwara Utd players: Don’t respect Kano Pillars

Kwara United FC head coach, Tunde Abdulrahman has warned his players not to pay too much respect to the league reigning champions, Kano Pillars when they lock horns on Sunday in Ilorin.

The Harmony Warriors returned to winning ways when they beat Nasarawa United FC 1-0 after two league defeats to Heartland and 3SC in succession but they bounced back with the win against the Solid Miners.

Speaking with SportingLife ahead of the league tie, Abdulrahman said that his players have been told to go after the Sai Masu Gida and make life uncomfortable for the league champions in search of a win.

He also called on the club’s fans and supporters to come to the stadium and cheer the team to victory adding that the role of support as the 12th player has a key role to play in the match.

Abdulrahman said that he is not afraid of his foes and that he had also told his players to face the game with all they have got as they target a win and a place at the top.

“We are facing Pillars on Sunday. We know they are a dangerous side and we won’t take them for granted at all. I have told my players to approach the game with all they have got. I have also told them that a win would be of great help to us and they have promised me that they would try their best,” Abdulrahman told said.

Kwara United FC, meanwhile, will be without their reliable striker, Segun Alebiosu and other two players who have been ruled out to card offences.

Alebiosu got his second yellow card in the last game against Nasarawa United and other two unnamed players were also booked in the game against the Solid Miners . Kwara United bagged five yellow cards in the explosive match.

Kwara United are 10th on the log with eight points from six matches while Pillars are eighth with nine points from five matches.
