The Abia State House of Assembly has approved financial autonomy for the 17 local government areas of the state.
The lawmakers also approved financial autonomy for the state Judicial Commission and House of Assembly during yesterday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Chinedum Orji.
This is the first sitting after the House adjourned indefinitely following attempts by some members to impeach some of the principal officers.
After exhausting the items on the order list, sitting was adjourned till today.
