The Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji has agreed to sponsor para-badminton player Eze Chukwuebuka Sunday to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Tournament in Spain.
This is even as the chairman of Abia Warriors and the Director-General of the Speaker’s campaign council, Pastor Emeka Inyama offered a goalkeeper, Mr. Gabriel Obasi an automatic trial with the first team of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia.
Sunday was supposed to have left the country for the BWF Para-Badminton Tournament, but his departure from the country has been delayed because of financial constraints.
The Speaker whose attention was drawn to Sunday’s plight by the director of Sports, Isaac O. Isaac promised to make the required funds available on time.
