Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has assured the residents of Sango Ota/ Ijoko/Olambe/Akute/Alagbole that one of the two bad lanes on the federal road will be reconstructed before December.
The governor, who visited the area recently, hailed the people for their patience despite the harrowing experience they went through daily while commuting through the bad road.
He said although the road belonged to the Federal Government, the sense of urgency he attached to it was borne out of his desire to ensure that people who had hitherto been neglected for years in the area would feel the impact of government during his tenure.
Abiodun said one lane of the 32- kilometre road from Sango Ota through Ijoko to Alagbole would be done between now and December to ensure that motorists and other road users who plied the road daily did so without stress, which had been their lot for years.
He gave the contractor handling the road a marching order to ensure that the December deadline was met.
