As Nigerians go to the polls today, the northern socio-cultural group, Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF),yesterday appealed to contestants to accept the results of the elections and the wishes of the people as will be expressed through the ballot box.
The forum, in a statement in Kaduna by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim, also appealed to the electorate to conduct themselves peacefully at the polling stations.
It said the basis of true democracy is the conduct of free, fair and credible election in which the electorate have a major role to play through peaceful conduct and warned that “there should be no act of intimidation or harassment of an illegible voter in the polling units by the security agents for no just cause.”
