Adio dumps bid to represent Egbeda Ona Ara Federal Constituency

Ashimiu Afeez Adio, noted member of the Tinubu Support Group for Southwest Campaign Committee for 2023, has renounced his earlier intention to contest for a political position next year.

Adio who had earlier indicated his intention to contest for Egbeda/Ona Ara constituency under the platform of APC, rolled out another statement during the week stating:

“With a deep sense of responsibility after consulting with the party’s esteemed leaders, elders, family, friends and staunch supporters. I, Hon. Ashimiu Afeez Adio, hereby withdraw my pursuance of the goal of representing Egbeda Ona Ara Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in 2023.

“Forthwith, I collapse all my structures into supporting all the party’s candidates in the coming general elections. I am a believer in party supremacy. Hence, I shall ensure our success at all levels in order to fulfill the Nigeria of our dreams.”

Adio, who further pledged his loyalty to the APC, added:

“I don’t believe in politics of division, rather, I emphasise inclusion and party supremacy in all my dealings in my political sphere.”

Before now, Adio contested in the primaries of 2019 for the Egbeda/ Ona Ara federal constituency. He has also been a staunch member of Alliance for Democracy (AD) since 1999, and presently one of the egg heads of the Tinubu Support Group for Southwest Campaign Committee for 2023.
