Nigerian striker Peter Ebimobowie is a major doubt for Al Ahly when they confront Algerian side ES Setif in the CAF Super Cup on February 21 due to injury.
The former Bayelsa United striker suffered a hamstring injury in Al Ahly’s 3-1 win over El Shorta in a league game where he scored his first goal for the Egyptian giants.
Al Ahly medical staff announced that the 21-year-old player will need a 10-day rehabilitation programme following the injury. He will now be out of action for at least 10 days, meaning he will be back just a day to the game.
The CAF Confederation Cup winners Ahly are meeting the African Champions League winners Algeria’s ES Setif to compete for the continental Super Cup on February 21.
