As part of its 10th anniversary, Diaspora Innovation Institute launched a magazine in Abuja Monday.
The institute recognised top functionaries encouraging Diaspora for socio-economic development of their states.
An awardee, senior special assistant of Diaspora Affairs to Ekiti State governor Femi Odere, got an award for “Diaspora engagement, support services, policy implementation and creating an environment for Diaspora to impact growth ” in Ekiti.
Odere, national chairman of States Diaspora Focal Point Officers, received the award from Dr. Andrew Nevin, a partner and chief economist at PWC Nigeria at the Sheraton Abuja Hotel.
Nevin has written much on Nigerian Diaspora participation in national development. .
